If you want to understand everything that happened to a specific transaction — from creation through delivery and acknowledgment — you can use the Audit Log to see it all in one place.

The quickest way: from the transaction itself

For any transaction created after the Audit Log release:

  1. Open the transaction details page

  2. Click the Audit Log button

  3. A modal opens showing all events for that transaction

  4. Click View Full Audit Log to open the full view in a new tab, where you can explore further

From the Audit Log directly

If you're already in the Audit Log, or working with an older transaction:

  1. Click your avatar in the top right corner and select Audit Log

  2. Set Resource to Transaction and enter the transaction ID

  3. Optionally set a Date range if you know roughly when the activity occurred

This shows every event directly on that transaction — creation, status changes, reprocessing, resends, and deletions.

Frequently Asked Questions

I see the Audit Log button but it opens a modal — how do I see more?

Click View Full Audit Log in the modal. This opens the full Audit Log in a new tab with the transaction already filtered, so you can use additional filters and drill down further.

My transaction was created before the Audit Log launched — will I see its history?

The Audit Log only captures events from the launch date onward. For older transactions, use the Audit Trail button on the transaction details page instead.
