Test your Communication Channel
Not required but highly recommended, we suggest you test your newly setup communication channel. A test file can either be a blank .txt file or you can upload a .x12 transaction of your choice. By testing, you can confirm that you've configured your communication channel properly before you start sending or receiving transactions with your trading partner.
- Visit https://ui.orderful.com/communication-channels
- Click on the communication channel you created in the section above --> a sidebar will appear
- Click Send a Test --> A modal will appear
note: This is where you can either choose a dummy test file from Orderful or upload your own - Once complete, you will get a notification on the bottom left of your screen that the transaction was sent
- You can see the test results in the sidebar on the right by clicking on the communication channel
Set your Default Communication Channels
You must choose default communication channels. These settings will apply to your relationships once you've accepted your trade request. If you're using the same communication channel for both test and product data, choose that here.
